Historians contend that the tradition of wearing academic regalia originates from the 14th century. Initially, it was used as a practical means for warmth as scholars sometimes encountered frigid conditions. The master's gown is produced from a high quality material which resists fading and wrinkling. It is all black, with low hanging, oblong sleeves and a front zipper. The cap is all black as well, with a sturdy mortarboard construction and a snug fit. DOES NOT include Master tassel.
